The mission of the Chesapeake Math and Information Technology PTO is to bridge the gap between parents, teachers and the Administration – build, inspire and empower our scholars and future leaders. We motivate scholars to utilize the knowledge and technological experience they receive to increase their self-confidence and enhance their self-esteem. We advocate for community service and team building.
The purpose of the Chesapeake Math and Information Technology PTO is to encourage parents to assist with various school activities/functions/services, provide financial assistance where needs are identified within the school, foster a community atmosphere, and support the mission and vision of the school and school district.
The Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) is a school-based organization made up of parents, guardians, teachers, staff and administrators who work together to supplement and enrich the educational experience at CMIT Academy South Middle and High schools. As a Charter school, our PTO is always actively searching for opporunities to help supplement and nourish our scholars educational experience. We host fundraisers to purchase supplies for our classrooms, support school events, fine arts programs and our athletic department to ensure each student and program has what is needed to succeed.
